Our client decided to involve Maltwood at tender stage and we went out to four contractors to provide competitive quotes. Once the contractor was appointed and we agreed contracts we commenced with the management of the build.
The property had not been updated for 40 years and ultimately to provide our client with the high level of finish he required we had to carry out a full strip out back to brick and complete M&E reinstallation along with new windows, stairs, joist work and new roof.
There were a lot of redesigns with this project due to its age but also the original structural designs that we inherited but we made the correct and most cost effective amendments which worked due to the close management of the contractor and providing them with the detail and follow up that was required.
